The symposium showcased four expert presentations that delved into various aspects of gastroenterology. Dr. Valérie Freiche, Hospital Practitioner and Head of GI Diseases Consultation at École nationale vétérinaire d'Alfort, presented on the classification, facts, controversies, and nutritional management of canine chronic enteropathies.

Dr. Jan S. Suchodolski, Professor and Purina PetCare Endowed Chair in Microbiome Research at Gastrointestinal Laboratory Texas A&M University, explored the application of Omics Technologies in Veterinary Gastroenterology, providing a comprehensive review and presenting new perspectives in the field.

Dr. Kathrin Busch, Senior Physician Internal Medicine at the Medical Small Animal Clinic of LMU Munich, shared recent advances and protocols in Fecal Microbiota Transplantation, a topic of growing interest in the veterinary community.

Dr. Jason Gagné, Board-Certified Veterinary Nutritionist^® and Purina's Director of Program Management, presented on the science behind probiotics and postbiotics, shedding light on their role in promoting digestive health in pets.

The interactive round table session marked the culmination of the symposium, provided a valuable opportunity for the audience to engage with the experts, ask questions, and participate in insightful discussions.

The session was enhanced by the presence of a specialist who brilliantly illustrated the key takeaways in a captivating image, encapsulating the depth and richness of the discussions.

One of the standout moments of the symposium days was an inspirational speech on happiness in the Nordics during the Gala dinner, which left a lasting impact on all attendees. Additionally, we had the pleasure of enjoying a city tour of the incredible city of Helsinki.
